A graduate of Nova High School in Davie, Florida, Canica attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts on a music scholarship. There, she performed with the school’s gospel choir. Canica has performed in such productions as Your Arms Too Short to Box With God, Shake Your Brown Feet, Honey, Seasons, Soul of a Black Woman, and Lost in Translation. She also performs at conferences and weddings.
