As a flower child, kind rebel, and singer songwriter Chrisette Michele uplifts communities by creating a new lifestyle soundtrack that focuses on being rich in heart and art. While traveling the world her mission is to build brand new nations built on the act of giving, peace, and unity.
Along the way she has had notable hip hop collaborations with Jay Z, Nas, The Roots, and Wale. She toured with Solange, India Arie and worked with Musiq Soul Child. Her music has gone number 1 on the Billboard release and she became a Grammy Award Winning singer songwriter for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the song “Be OK” featuring hip hop singer will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
When she’s not singing, she supports charities with her time by feeding the hungry with friends in Atlanta, visiting women’s abuse shelters and speaking at abuse clinics, visiting schools as a motivational speaker, and participating in VH1 save the music. Her heart and next project lies in opening homes for wayward young boys.
