Na’Tasha Watkins, better known as “Na’sha (pronounced Nay-sha), was born in Columbus, Ohio into a family of singers and musicians. At a very early age, her talent was discovered as she played the role of gospel great, Mahalia Jackson, in a black history stage play. “I knew from that performance that I had a love for the arts,” she says.

Though there were tremendous childhood struggles, Na’Sha continued to pursue her passion to perform. At 18, she relocated to South Florida after penning a recording contract that enabled her to work alongside of some of the music industry’s top recording artists and producers. She has appeared on such television programs as Soul Train, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

After worldwide travel and performing for thousands in secular arenas, the Lord called Na’sha to The Faith Center Ministries in Sunrise, Florida, where she has served and ministered for the past four years. She is currently a gospel recording artist and Realtor by trade. Speaking on her transition, Na’sha says: “It’s good to be home on the Lord’s stage. God has kept me throughout the years and preserved my talents to glorify Him. I am blessed to be under great leadership, and grateful to the visionary for choosing and trusting me to play the relatable to so many character of Mercedes.”
